Heinous Ransomware Attack

On Saturday, November 10th, 2019, my hosting provider was the victim of an atrocious ransomware attack. It took me until today, Wednesday November 13th, to get my blog back up and running. Apparently the attackers encrypted by the hosting providers software as well as the data in my hosting account. Hosting providers seem to be the crown jewel for ransomware attacks, as both the hosting provider and all of the half million customers of the hosting provider have to consider payment. I did not and will not be forced into giving payment to ransomware attackers. Here is a message that was in all of the folders in my hosting account, some of which had files encrypted. There was a file called DECRYPT_KJHBX_DATA.txt with the following message:

Hello!
Your all your files are encrypted and only I can decrypt them. Contact for me e-mail:
support4568@mail.fr or support7164@firemail.cc
Write me if you want to return your files - I can do it very quickly!
The header of the letter must contain the extension of the encryptor

Do not rename encrypted files.
You may lose your files permanently.
You may be a victim of fraud.
To prove that I can recover your files, I am ready to decrypt any three files for free (except databases, Excel and backups)
!!! Do not turn off or restart the NAS equipment. This will result in data loss !!!

That is not funny. But we will not be intimidated and I will continue to support ISP hosting services.
